I am a sophomore Biology major from Dallas, Texas. I have always been curious and adventurous. In elementary school, I always enjoyed conducting experiments in science class. I decided to major in Biology because of my fascination with the subjects of ecology and evolution. I am particularly interested in conservation biology and the evolution of vertebrates. In the future, I hope to go into research and apply to graduate school.

I am also currently in the Biodiversity Discovery FRI stream, where I have had the opportunity to do herpetology fieldwork in South Texas and lab work sequencing undescribed Eurycea. During my time in FRI, I have really enjoyed learning more about the conservation of biodiversity. I am also passionate about outreach and have been involved with SAGES (Society for Advancing Gender Equity in STEM) Outreach, volunteering with UT Girl Day and the Girlstart STEM Conference.
